# Burning Mechanism

One of the key features of KitCoin is the burning mechanism, where 50% of fees acquired in $KITTY tokens is burned on a weekly basis. The other 50% will be used to continue building out the project. This burning mechanism will help increase scarcity and value over time, making KitCoin a more attractive investment for users.
